# Blocktronics launches V2 with cost basis data, smart-money weighting and MCP server for AI agents

*The onchain token intelligence platform added wallet-level cost basis, track-record-weighted smart money flows, and an API for autonomous agents on October 28, 2026.*

Blocktronics, an onchain token intelligence platform, released V2 on October 28, 2026, introducing cost basis for every wallet, smart money weighted by track record, and an API and Model Context Protocol server for AI agents.

The company announced the update in a [launch post](https://x.com/blocktronicsxyz/status/2115527308886851816) on X, calling V2 "a new look, a new frontier, a new chapter." Blocktronics said the release has "elevated on-chain data distribution through our own forensics layer." Users top up or perform swaps to get credits, and the API and MCP plug-ins are live, according to the company.

Blocktronics covers 233 tokens on Base, Ethereum, and Robinhood Chain.

## What a token page shows

The centerpiece is a comparison of holder value against cost basis. Holder value is the current worth of tokens held at a given day’s price. Cost basis, also called realized cap, is the total amount holders paid for those tokens. When holder value exceeds cost basis, holders are in unrealized profit; when it is lower, they are in unrealized loss. The ratio of holder value to cost basis is expressed as MVRV.

Blocktronics said cost basis reflects what every current holder actually paid, so it moves more slowly than price and indicates where the holder base stands. It updates whenever tokens change hands at a new price.

Each token page also includes DEX netflow, smart money netflow, and a Blocktronics grade. The grade is an A to E badge for structural fragility, defined as how safely a position can be held and exited. It is based on six pillars: depth, concentration, holders, flow, economics, and launch. Blocktronics said the grade "is not a view on where price is going."

V2 adds cost basis for every wallet and the option to filter out exchange, team, or escrow wallets, according to the company. Exchange and other infrastructure wallets are excluded from holder metrics, as a single hot wallet holding tokens for thousands of customers does not represent one holder. Capital totals still include exchange balances, as those tokens belong to investors. Liquidity pools, bridges, and protocol contracts are excluded from both.

## Smart money, weighted by record

Blocktronics describes smart money as a cohort of wallets its backend flags as proven, each "chosen on its record, not on what it does next." Its documentation states, "size alone says nothing about skill." A large account adding to a token does not qualify on its own.

V2 weights the cohort by track record, the company said. The selection process remains private to prevent copying or gaming, according to Blocktronics. The public view shows the cohort’s flows and holdings for each token, not the list of wallets.

## An API and MCP server for agents

The release includes an MCP server exposing more than 40 tools. Agents can search tokens, read overviews, pull 60-day series, compare up to 12 tokens, screen coverage, read signals, render chart cards, and build dashboards and hubs. Reads, charts, dashboards, and hubs require no account. Blocktronics said the server works with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, Codex, and other clients.

An agent can obtain an API key without human intervention. It signs a message with its wallet, receives a key, then tops up credits in USDC from its own wallet. According to the documentation, "refusals, errors and quotes are free, and every answer says what it charged." A token series costs 2 credits per token, while compare and screen calls are priced by size.

The API follows the same pricing. A catalog endpoint lists every daily metric, the sections a token page shows, and every tool with its input and price, and requires no key. Agents can query up to five tokens in one request or ingest a token Blocktronics has not yet indexed, building it from its first transfer.

## Other tools in the release

Blocktronics also offers a Bundle Detector, which shows who bought a token’s launch together and what they still hold, weighing that overhang against liquidity. A bundle scan costs 5 credits and remains open for 24 hours. A new-token scan covers any token Blocktronics does not yet index, up to 250 credits. A daily market brief and a Telegram bot, @BlocktronicsBot, deliver token cards and the day’s market in chat.

For agents that research or trade tokens, the update allows holder data to be called and paid for programmatically. V2 is designed to be read by agents as well as people, and pricing is structured so an agent can see the cost of an answer before committing.
